Cincinnati OH Triathlon Hotel

Ready, set, GO to the Holiday Inn Express West during the Cincinnati OH Triathlon this July.

Getting ready for the Triathlon will begin on Wednesday, July 20^th with registration from 5:30-7:00p.m. On Thursday, July 21^st at 6:00p.m. there will be a triathlon walk through. On Saturday July 23^rd there will be the Great River Swim and a pre-race meeting. Then on July 24^th at 7:30a.m. the triathlon begins! The awards ceremony follows at around noon.

There are four different types of races during the week. The Olympic course is 1350m swimming, 40K bike ride, and 10K run. The Sprint is 400m swimming, 20K bike riding, and a 5K running. The Sprint Duathlon is a 2K run, a 20K bike ride, and another run of 5K. The Great Ohio River Swim is about 900 meters. Take a look at the courses by clicking here.

There will be a variety of different concerts including a Beatles Tribute. Families can also watch Charlotte’s Web under the stars. Weekly children’s program themes include: Bug Olympics, The Music of Bugs, Bugs in Art, Bugs with attitude, and Bugs as Pets.

Tickets are only $7 for adults and $5 for children 2 to 12 years old. For this low price you get to see Big Bugs and the Highfield Discovery Garden. Click here to order tickets. Big Bugs is open to visitors Tuesday through Sunday. Most days the exhibit opens at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 5:00p.m. However, on Thursdays hours are extended until 8:30p.m. On Sundays, the exhibit is open from 12:00p.m. until 5:00p.m.

Sunday, May 1^st will be the 13^th Annual Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati! Make a weekend of it, join in on all the fun events that will be going on, and stay at the Cincinnati Holiday Inn Express West.

The Flying Pig Marathon is the third-largest first-time marathon in the country! It’s THE marathon to go to for runners of all ability and experience levels.

Friday is the start of festivities with the P & G Health and Fitness Expo going on from 12-7p.m. and will be open on Saturday. There will also be pre-race weight lifting offered! On Saturday there will be a variety of races. Kids can participate in a one mile Flying Pig Marathon and adults can participate in the 5 or 10K races that day.
